I write Haiku, not about Haiku I love to write Haiku (5-7-5). For me, a Haiku is like a story in only three lines. Depending on the chosen theme, if you find the right words, a Haiku can lead you to think of a painting, a film script, a scene from a play, etc. I began to write Haiku after I saw it on other blogs. I saw that they are a great attraction. I discovered that Haiku is like a powerful magnet for readers. And, being a new blogger, I also wanted to attract people to my little blog. I wanted people to read not only my Haiku but also my other posts. So, I started to write Haiku. About love, nature, tattoos etc. I wrote Haiku and I attracted readers. And, because I strove to make my Haiku more beautiful and expressive, those readers gave me “likes”, then they became subscribers, and then many of them have become my close friends. So I got more traffic and a lot of friends. Perfect, right?

What a stunning debut by Monica Pana with her first book, Love, Guns and Roses. In this exquisite collection of Haiku Monica explores topics of love, nature and the world around her in visual and descriptive prose that evokes all of the senses. Monica shares an honest heartfelt collection of verse, many inspired from her own experiences, that deserves to be treasured and I highly recommend it for those who love the written word.

What a stunning achievement for Monica Pana in her first book Love, Guns & Roses! She presents the reader with remarkable haikus in an enchantingly contemporary format. Her material is deep, rich, imaginatively provocative, inspirational and alluring ... all packed into less than 50 pages. Again, this is a stunning achievement. I very heartily recommend Love, Guns & Roses to readers. You will not be disappointed!

Monica Pana's first book Love, Guns & Roses is really remarkable. Both her poetry and visuals are just stunning. She brings a freshness to Haiku and says so much in just three lines and seventeen syllables. You get a feel for her life in these lines, and what a unique and talented person she is.

Monica Pana is a remarkable young woman bursting with artistic talent. This little collection demonstrates her versatility. The haikus display keen observation and deep insight. They are honest reflections of her own experiences, some painful; her dreams, and her aspirations; and of what she has learned from others. I would also recommend visiting her collection of beautiful photographs, from some of which she has gained inspiration.

As the title suggests, this is a modern take on the traditional Haiku. Dealing with topics like tattoos, pirate's treasure, bridges between worlds and, of course, love, Monica offers a fresh and upbeat view of her world in 5-7-5 format. This is an enjoyable collection for readers of all ages and will appeal to those new to haiku as well as familiar readers looking for a new angle. The layout is vibrant and a pleasure to read with plenty of Monica's beautiful photography throughout. A heartfelt and passionate journey bursting with enthusiasm and positivity, this book offers a delightful break when you need to step back from the world for a moment or two.
