I really enjoyed reading The Cabin. How Munira came to build her actual cabin in the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec Canada is only part of the story. Strong ties to family and her quest for creative freedom are woven together and explored through journaling that spans close to 20 years. With her poet's eye and sensibility, Avinger transported me with her on her quest. Her descriptions of the forest life and wildlife are some of the finest I have read recently. This is a contemporary story that has a wide range of meaning and spiritual content.
