It is always good to get notes from friends telling me they enjoyed the book. This one came today from my good friend, Liz Britt. You may or may not remember but I purchased the above along with “Silent Whispers” the evening we held the celebration of the Jordanville book. I also purchased the Jordanville book. As you know, I stay busy, and don’t have many days that I just get off Planet Earth, but today was one. I did not feel well this morning (feeling better now) so decided to get in the easy chair and rest or whatever. I picked up the above book, which I had not read, and have read it today. I really enjoyed it. I did not grow up here, but it is amazing how closely the activities of our lives have paralleled. Similar stories, games, daily life, etc. I must admit that I was born in 1938, so we were not twisting in our local theater in Centreville!I read a lot, but just had not selected this one…I am now hoping to get into “Silent Whispers.” Enjoyed the book, and wanted you to know.... More > Hope you are feeling well. Fondly, Liz< Less

Comments from friends about the book: From: Herb Hughes Date: 2/14/2013 9:17:36 PM Subject: Butterbean Cows I think about your book from time-to-time. It really stirred something in me. You have a knack for capturing feeling. My daughter has it but I’m going to have to rattle her. She’s had it for a while and I’d like it back on my desk.  Nina Golden Bolin Love This Book, Full Of Great Memories. Myra keep them coming. You did a great job.You make Tallassee proud. This thoughtful and well written book brought back images from my own childhood as I was reading. It is warm and inviting and a magical way to go back and leave the myriad demands of modern life behind, even if just for a short while.
