I bought the hard copy of this publication. The physical quality of the book is just superb! The individual articles are interesting and well written. The main essay should be read by all Taiji (Tai Chi) practitioners but will be (or should be) of special interest to all in the World Taiji Boxing Association (WTBA). There is much to know and learn about Erle Montaigue (Founder of the WTBA) and what is called the "Old Style" or "Original Yang Style". I highly recommend this publication to anyone who wants a well researched and well written bit of history about Erle Montaigue's real place within the Yang Taiji lineage. Beyond that, the supporting historical information is very enlightening! I will be looking for more from this author!

This is probably the most controversial issue to date! This is what is being currently said of Nasser Butt's article - Whose Line Is It Anyway: "I got a few moments last evening to begin reading Nasser Butt wonderful article on Erle Montaigue. It is an excellent article and a brilliant study on Old Yang tai chi chuan, Erle, and its history. I highly recommend this article for all of my tai chi students. In the article Nasser mentions many "Chinese Blokes" and he mentioned several old friends or acquaintances of mine including Y.W. Chang and Dr. Ann Carruthers (Pat). Nasser has done a remarkable job not only in outlining a brilliant chain of argument, but also putting some light on some obscure aspects of the history and personages of tai chi chuan. I can't wait to read deeper into this material because I have some unique first and second hand historical research that I want to compare to it. Reading this article reminded me of how primitive the early days of study could... More > be, often due to language and communication issues, and the lack of good books, in any language."
