The author takes you on a journey in to his very dark and often witty and comedic mind. I definitely view this book as a growing process for the author who has really found his feet in this book. Looking forward to the next one eagerly. Nathan Hassall has a unique style unlike any I have seen before and has the beginnings of a very deep philosophical undercurrent. Recommend this to anyone that are looking for something thought provoking.

The book is in two halves, first half being short stories, second half poems, both weird as hell but it a good way, not the weird for the sake of being weird way. It's written amazingly, and keeps you wanting to read more after each story/poem. All very unique and unexpected at times, alot of the time you may not know what is going on until you reflect back on it, and even then maybe not. Feels like a different dimension, one of dreams (although quite disturbing dreams at that). Definately worth a read. I still look over many of the items in the book even now after reading it over the summer. Enjoy. x

The dark, often quirky and philosophical at heart stories drag the reader into their depths relentlessly throughout the work; even the poems are as engaging as a well read novel. I believe the magic of the work is that different people may take different things from many of the pieces, but on ones such as 'Sadistic Doctor' the readers will be in union as the author looks at societies reliance on trust of authority, while the punch line (In want of a better word) on the very next piece continues the emotional roller-coaster of the book. Pieces such as 'Cannot deal alone' and 'Old dead parts' express emotion at such a level that I felt instantly involved in the pain of the subjects. I cannot recommend this book enough. thank you
