"Martha's Vineyard" Once I’d started it I couldn’t put it down. A delightful, engaging yet dark-edged story destined I think, when word gets around, to become a Lulu bestseller. It evokes beautifully the atmosphere of mainland Greece and the nature of its friendly, hospitable people. If you are taking a Greek holiday this summer I'd take this book with you, if you’re not then be prepared to book one when you’ve read it. I did. I enjoyed it immensely. It is a pacy and entertaining read and I particularly liked the central character, Bob’s, short story “Heaven’s Library” and his occassional “rants” about things from the state of the education to the mobile phone or from university courses to planning permission. It also helps that I love Greece because the writer captures its charm perfectly. I really recommend this.
