All I can say is that the blurb above is true. There are stories in here that are very humorous, very macabre and truly fantastic. I seriously don't know the last time I enjoyed a series of short stories this much. Of the others I've read, there were usually some klunkers, maybe 25% of the whole group. Not so with Welch. I was thoroughly engaged and entertained through 98% of this collection. I've purchased his other works as well. Highest recommendation.
