Young, selfish and impulsive, Livia and her brother Joe set out to make amends for past indiscretions. Their intertwined paths to heal old wounds leave a path of destruction behind, threatening to break their ties to those they hold most dear. Instead of the forgiveness they seek, Livia and Joe are thrust into the suffering of reopened wounds, and they begin to realize the surest path to absolution isn't to mend past roads—but rather to wait for the sun to rise on a new day.
"Loved it!!" If you want a book to relax and read, this is your book. Many times I found myself lost in the story, completely unaware of my surroundings. The story grabs you and pulls you in. A really great read!
"Great page turner!" What a great story! There is a little something for everyone in this story, from romance to action to mystery to .... I cant tell you any more! You must read this book!
"This book rocks!" What a page turner! I loved all the characters (well, actually I hated some). Often I wanted to pat a character on the back or take her by the shoulders and shake her, or knock him upside the head. They were all so real. So, basically, my book review is, "WOW!!!!!" and the ending left me yelling "Please write more!!!!!" Congratulations on such a great novel. I can't believe this is her first novel. It was crafted like someone who has written all her life.
"Very engaging" I was delighted to find this book an easy read, yet very engaging. As a busy mother of two, I have little time to myself, but a good book that I can carry with me while waiting for violin lessons to be over is a treasure. The book’s perspective made it not only easy to read in “snatched moments” but was enthralling enough to make you anxious for the next moment to come along. While it wasn’t all “happy endings”, it was satisfying- with a yen to make you want “more” when it was all over. Maybe there will be a sequel?
