This is such a great read. There wasn't a single short that I didn't enjoy. "Thankful" by Brockton McKinney was most up my alley. It was by far my favorite. Keep putting these out, Nicholas Ahlhelm!
What a good time! This is one of the better collections of short stories that I have read in a while. I read a lot, so it's nice to come across something a little different than the regular "bestselling author" stuff I get. And I never read scary stuff, but I found myself really enjoying the tale of the creepy old woman in "Thankful" (although I should have read it during the day!). Overall I'd give the stories four or five stars. This book is very fun.
