Fantastic! EXACTLY what I was looking for and what I needed. A book that fills in 'all the gaps' that are left in so many other materials out there. It is comprehensive, leaving nothing to chance. My game has gone up a notch without even exerting any effort. I just feel very grateful that someone has taken the time to map out the whole 'game' in so much honest, yet empowering detail. Thank you Krauser

It's ok, but feels dated in the parts that weren't changed from 1st edition because it's still partially stuck in the old mechanics. I liked the SMV chapter and it will teach you the basics, although for the money spent there is less value compared to Mastery.

I first read Nitro way back when the first version was released. It was a crucible of learning and re-affirmed all of the experiences I was going through in my daygame journey. While Nitro is an excellent read on it's own. The real value comes when you refer to it as a 'workbook'. I've consistently referred to it whenever I was stuck or reached a sticking point and helped guide me through the process, which is arguably one of the toughest things to go through. If you're a beginner or an intermediate daygamer and want to soften the blows and make the learning process easier. Definitely pick this up. Highly recommended!

The first version of Nitro was one of my favourite game books before the monster that is Mastery came along. I shamefully downloaded the original off the internet so when I saw Krauser was releasing a second edition with new content in hardback format, I didn’t hesitate in purchasing. Whilst v1 was no nonsense and to the point, the writing style from Mastery is evident in the new version and to great effect. The humour is there, the metaphors, the attractive layout and graphics, it really is a pleasure to read. Whilst it does not go into the fine detail that Mastery covers, he has by no means scrimped on the content. It's simply more streamlined and tailored towards an intermediate level. The model is simplified, there's a bit more detail on avoidance weasels/approach anxiety and the book is nicely broken up with some lay reports and content from other writers. (Mike Danger and Play) The area that I found most useful was the future projection section, Krauser gives a 4 page example... More > and I have since incorporated into my game with great results. Whereas the first edition was the skeleton of the London daygame model, version 2 builds on it and adds some meat to the bones, it's much more polished than the original. For those who haven’t read v1 and are concerned Mastery might be too advanced, buy it, it's awesome. Even for those that have already gotten through it and don’t have Mastery, there’s still plenty of value in there.< Less
