Beautifully illustrated book with 34 original watercolor paintings. For children of all ages. The book captures the sweet voices and images of nature. Stork Charlie lives along a beautiful river. One day he decides to fly around and search for his long lost friends, the beavers. In a remote region he finally finds them. They are unhappy because their river is muddy, crowded, and the water barely flows between their dams. Charlie offers to show them his wonderful place. Beaver Sammy is the bravest one and he accepts Charlie's offer. When Sammy arrives he is overwhelmed with the pristine, clear river and unspoiled nature. After a splendid time with new friends, he wishes that his beaver friends and family would join him. Sammy writes a letter and stork Charlie flies it to them. After all the beavers hear about the new world, they pack their belongings and hit the road. Stork Charlie flies ahead of the bus showing them the way toward a better future.
