Nydia Rojas states "The poems in Stealing Daylight come from my daily observations of how everything in nature, and in our lives, is in constant repetition but at the same time our daily life is so unique. We struggle to keep a balance and most times, even if we think the contrary, we manage to achieve some sort of order. As seasons repeat and bring their own uniqueness to our daily life our sense of finding, and keeping, that balance changes to accommodate the new situations we find ourselves in."
