What is the true measure of a hero? In Epic 2008, an intrepid band of 7th grade Language Arts students from Oak View Middle School in Newberry, Florida set out on a quest to find a definitive answer.
Using the monomythic framework postulated by Joseph Campbell, these twenty-one young authors crafted epic works of fiction to discover for themselves what it truly means to be a hero.
