What makes this novel special is the documents and how they worked to bring out the scam, but the writer goes into the mood and psychology of the protagonists, thereby trying to unravel the reasons beyond the ambition that led them to commit such fraud, fraud in the Church without prescedentes moving higher flow of wealth such as the Catholic Church, wealth that sometimes fails to really help people who are in extreme poverty or in nations recovering from a disaster.
