The world is changing. Dates are no longer as they were used to be. There is an ever-growing bulk of ‘’online relationships’’, or ‘’virtual romances’’.‘’Virtual’’ implies underrating, even despise, as if ‘’not real’’, or ‘’made-up’’. But are they? How can a relationship exist when the only means of communication is the internet? What attracts them when you cannot touch them and feel their warmth? Could it be called‘’love’’ when every moment is filled with the other and the hearts beat together although they have never met in person just like in the old times? How could one be sure that he or she is the ‘’One’’? Are there any new rules pertaining this new type of relationship? Peter Swenson, a retired man of 56, now a writer, experiences a series of relationships in a relatively short time, some in real, some online only. ‘’A Man, A Woman, and A Story’’ is mainly the story of Peter and Leyla, who never met.This is their story.
