Somewhere in San Francisco hide the forefathers and other famous illuminaries of America's past, unaged, and quite alive. Caught amongst the sinister plots of secret societies and dangerous divine beings, Abraham Lincoln and his comrades in arms known as the 'old boys' must foil a plot to disregard the old world regime and usher in a new world order. How will it all end, and when the dust settles, who will be alive to see the new world carved out by those in power?
The Illuminated Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln contains adult language and sexual themes. Reader discretion is advised.

"Beg, borrow, steal...or even BUY...this book!" Wow. This book is easily the world's best NaNoWriMo novel ever! What's more, it's total fun and a good read. I laughed out loud. I felt spiritual growth. I learned stuff. Then I laughed out loud a bunch more. This book is not for a niche market. I think it's for everyone. Except those sad people who have suffered sense-of-humor-ectomies. This book might actually be hazardous for them to read. But if you have a healthy, normally functioning funny bone, you should expect only good results when you read The Illuminated Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln. T.I.M.A.L. has living dead presidents, capricious secret societies, battles between good and evil, gritty San Francisco street life, cage matches, friendship and betrayal, sly pop culture references, an unrequited goddess love interest, and serious sequel potential. Be one of the cool kids who reads this book *before* the indie cult movie version of it comes out. Life's too short to... More > deny yourself this much fun. - Marilyn Wann< Less
"Art imitates life" Well, maybe art doesn't always imitate life as much as we'd like, but Orion Cooper does his damnedest to make this vision of our founding fathers a reality. _The Illuminated Memoirs of Abrahama Lincoln_ follows the Old Boys - a group of mostly American ex-Presidents, though you'll see some international villians, mythological gods, and Elder Ones make guest appearances - on their quest to survive in this crazy post-modern world, and to protect the nation they love from the supernatural forces that would lay it low. Inspired not only by Brandon Bird, but also by an eclectic mix of Adult Swim, Role Playing literature, and local Bay Area life, this book is created for a highly specialized audience. If you're not in that audience (if you, for instance, are in no way moved by the thought of Luchadors, or have never experienced a depiction of the Trojan War that didn't involve Brad Pitt), beware. If you are: get ready. This is pretty awesome. I thoroughly... More > enjoyed this read. It went quickly, and, while the events sometimes seemed disjointed and some plotlines were left hanging, a very strange and *very* satisfying story unfolded as I read it. There are some typos and errors still in the text, so be ready for them. If you find the plot description appealing, I highly recommend reading this read. It is guaranteed to amuse in a very strange, arcane, and Presidential way.< Less
