Feb 23, 2007"Fascinating " I have been privilaged enough to read even but a few of the works in this book. Otep's writing is breath-taking. And yes,it can be vulgar. But I much prefer honesty over flattery. Her writing is pained, adulterated, gorgeously cancerous. I would much rather read something by a person that is writing what they feel than a work by someone who is writing what they feel others would want to hear. Kudos Otep.
Jan 16, 2007"AMAZING" Ok, Oteps Poetry might be a lil vulgar but you know what, its truly deep, it comes from her soul. she is a natural poet. From what i've read from the preview its so amazing, like i was speechless, and thats a Major good thing. Otep is one of my favorite poets by far. I cant wait to get a copy of this. Im excited. Oh dont forget all you OT3P fans. March 20, 2007 is the new OT3P cd "The_Assassin" So keep an eye out! -Art Is War- ---Ashley---
Jan 13, 2007"Re: " Look... you are one fucked up person to be saying this shit about her (thank you people who actually gave her good reviews). Before you judge someone try looking into their past. I dont believe you... the right to judge does not go to someone who doesnt even know the person... they are not ramblings... they're feelings... those poems come straight out of her heart and soul and she's using them to show you what she went through you ungreatful assholes. She doesnt deserve those kinds of words from morons like you. You dont even deserve to read her book if you dont want to appreciate her life... what she went through as a child - did you guys know she was raped and beaten as a child by her own father? I bet you didnt take a step back to notice that huh... take a closer look at those poems and then tell me what you think... see who feels like an asshole then... because it'll be you.
Jan 5, 2007"Re: Re: " I am very familiar with this artist and I have to admit that while I do enjoy some of her music, her new album seems to have her taking on a drastic change with her image. She is trying to look way too girly and not like her former image at all. It all seems contrived, as though her record label has forced her into this new look but hey, maybe she just watched too many Evanesence videos lately. Whatever the case, she certainly works hard to get involved in every cause imaginable and build her name so you gotta give her some credit. Her artwork is not my taste. It resembles something a small child would draw and is very ugly but some of her lyrics and poetry is actually very good. I collect poetry books and I am going to check out the book and give it a fair chance. Hopefully there will be a few things that hold my attention and intrigue my senses but I fear she will just be filling the pages with more of her nonsense like ramblings which will be a turn off. I... More > think she has it in her to be a great writer if she would just be a little more realistic instead of so over the top. There are a few really great girls in the heavy music scene and Otep has the potential to be one of them.< Less
