Molly Lee has been left by one friend, and is afraid to
make another. With the help of her mother, and a special bedtime story, Molly learns two important lessons. First, we must give everyone a fair chance. Secondly, even when our feelings are hurt, we need to keep an open heart. The next friend we make could turn out to be a better friend...or even a best friend.

What a delightful surprise. I stumbled onto this "plain jane" book looking for something to engage my precocious kid. I knew I had a problem when she said "Dad - those goofy stories with those silly pictures are just too BOOOOORING". I bought it and we read it together the 1st night after it arrived. Saraa (sic) wouldn't let me put it down. Even better I liked it to. The story hits the mark - appealing to the child with fine prose that any adult will admire. Pam Robbins and her talented illustrator Tony Hufnagel have come out of nowhere with this quality product.
