Shades of Life: A Selection of Short Stories

When Alice slips on an icy path, injuring herself, she finds out who her friends are. On the other hand, Lizzie knows that offering her new friend a home will evoke undisguised disapproval from her family. Fantasising lands Terry in more than a little trouble, while Maggie does her best to comfort a distressed young girl with embellished tales of her own experiences. Most people can relate to many of these tales, though some are more imaginative and exaggerated than others. The poignancy of one or two may bring a tear but, hopefully,they’ll all be enjoyable reading.
