"Nail '67 - 68 *****" Nail ’67 - 68 is an honest and vivid accounting of the Forward Air Controller’s Mission. The daily perils these extraordinary aviators faced on a daily basis have gone too long without recognition. The Author’s, Sweeney and Dwyer, are to be commended for telling the story as it actually unfolded rather than ‘toning it down’ to protect those rear echelon troops who were only interested in protecting their careers. Nail ’67 - 68 will give the reader an excellent feel for what it was like to fly the FAC mission. Facing the devil on a daily basis in a slow moving unarmed aircraft, this reader senses that the FAC’s preferred this over the flawed Rules of Engagement and having to deal with the political posturing that was so prevalent amongst the higher echelon. "NAIL" Outstanding, compelling, honest, truthful and accurate depiction of the US involvement in Southeast Asia by two American pilots. Their bravery, challenging decisions and honor above self, makes one proud to be an American. Once you start reading NAIL, you won't be able to put it down. A "made for Hollywood" possibility.
