This book kept me enthralled, entertained, and interested for the entire 153 pages. Pat's life experiences, where she's lived, and what's she's accomplished are peeled away in poetry and prose. She started in New York City and ended on the West Coast, with plenty of stop overs. Her words run the gamut like a horse race, drawing the reader further and further along, until the last story leaves you shaking your head and remembering she once wrote for Penthouse. If it were possible I would say Pat is the offspring of Jim Morrison and Maud Gonne. I highly recommend this book. Here are a few glimpses behind her curtain: "A singing gorilla" "Thinking of her lover, buried in Alabama on her 80th birthday" "Whale sharks cradling eggs" "Argentina on your tongue, tango in your eye" "Jazz and dancing fried eels and scallions".Get your wallet out folks, you won't be left disappointed.
