One cousin gave his life for our country from injuries sustained at the D-Day invasion. A succeeding generation, Pat’s family of nine, traveled to France for a year of struggle to fit in and learn the language. Children recall their methods of coping with school with a French flavor. Each new generation produces family stories of their own, some inspiring, some so awesome they are hard to believe, some just plain funny.
