The life and times of Sir James Douglas also known as 'The Black Douglas' He was probably Scotland's most able soldier, on a par with Robert the Bruce and William Wallace and yet, he is relatively unknown. This is the story also of a young west coast blacksmith's friendship with a Moorish captive and a historic sword. The story is interwoven against historic events and characters. An informative and thoroughly engrossing novel.
