Gospel Encounters with Meditations

These stories of what happend to people who enountered Jesus. What I have done is to give the people in the stories backgrounds not mentioned in the Gospels. As an example, one story is about Jesus healing a leper. We only know from the reading that he was thankful for what God had done for him and that he was a Samaritan. In this story that I called, ‘A Trader from Samaria’, I write that he is a trader with a wife and son. I also explain how he contracted leprosy and how the disease drove him from his family forcing him to live in a leper colony. I have attempted to make the background to these stories as authentic historically and biblically as possible. The principle sources I have listed in the appendix. I hope that whoever reads this book will be enriched by them and come to love the bible stories even more. Fifteen
