Kudos for sharing your wisdom with us. I’m so glad you took the time to put your thoughts on paper for us to experience. I was widowed at 35. At age my friends and work associates were busy with their own families and jobs and didn’t have a clue how to approach a young widow. So few of us were “prepared for the inevitable” at our age. No one had any idea what to do or say, other than “I’m sorry for your loss” and “what can I do to help”. I didn’t know what was happening, let alone "what to do". I couldn’t answer their questions, so they stayed away from the problem not knowing how to deal with the changes in my life. My best friend was gone and there was no one to speak with regarding what to do next. There were the usual platitudes (but no meat in the conversation). The kind of support you offer with “What Widows Wants” is invaluable. I hope it has made me a better and more understanding friend. I will walk the extra mile to share this special book with some younger adults... More > I know (who are sure “this won’t happen to me for decades”). I know your book will better prepare them to stand by their parents, family and friends. Thanks again< Less
