The book “Geometry and Basketry of the Bora in the Peruvian Amazon” presents some geometric aspects of the making and decoration of baskets in the Bora culture. The Bora live along the upper Cahuinari and the Igara-Paraná rivers in the Colombian, Brazilian and Peruvian Amazon. This book contributes to an appreciation of the Bora scientific and cultural experience, and in particular, to the education of the future generations. A significant facet of geometrical research consists of finding all possible configurations that satisfy certain conditions. The Bora basket weavers excel herein. Professor Dubner Medina Tuesta coordinator of the Bilingual Teacher Education Programme of the Peruvian Amazon wrote the Foreword. Colour edition 2013: 176 pp., 52 photographs, 152 figures. In 2009 a black-and-white edition was published.
