This isn't a how to book, nothing in the The Handbook Of The Writer Secret Society is going to help your comma addiction, but what it will do is give you a boost. I read this when I was having a full on crisis of confidence as regards my writing and it was simultaneously a very fun distraction and a serious pick me up. The chapter on writer's luck is particularly good. Buy two and give one to a writer you know.

  She's clever, this one. In an age where everyone thinks they "get it", she REALLY gets it. It isn't about what your community college professor taught you, nor the endless drivel you read from bored agents and editors about what THEY are looking for, it's about digging your own tunnel into a realm where ritual and habit transcend the timeless writings from the old World into the new. Method is the secret, and all ye who enter the Secret Society shall be justly rewarded.

  Carrie is extremely clever in the way that she writes. She writes the book in such a way that makes it seem very 'old worldy'. It is a pleasure to read and keeps you hooked the entire time! This books tells how being writer and how the writing world, really is! If you're a writer, pick this book up NOW!
