"One Good Man" The Septuagint is an exceedingly important work not only from the Eastern Orthodox perspective, but also from the Jewish perspective. Oddly enough, the 1851 Brenton translation was the only readily available English translation until Peter Papoutsis single-handedly took on the task of this work (in 2004). The Orthodox Study Bible came out four years later, but took a short cut in its rendering of the New Testament (a shortcoming resolved with the Eastern Orthodox Bible Vol 3-- also available from Lulu). I sincerely hope that Mr. Papoutsis sees fit to continue his work to completion, for we need the witness of his independent translation. He had the foresight to begin this journey before any others had, and I don't think anyone else can walk in his shoes.
