There are many theoretical books about IT architecture - what makes this book unique is that it actually explains, and demonstrates, how to create architectural descriptions using principles, models and standards. It addresses many practical aspects of developing IT architectures – again, something that other books don’t. Any IT professional or company that provides architecture consulting services, any architecture professionals who perform architectural work, CIOs, CTOs and other IT professionals who use architectural descriptions would greatly benefit from studying this book. You would expect no less from two professionals who are known to have been part of the "architecture think tanks" and architecture profession leaders at Hewlett-Packard for so many years - and it shows when you see that what you learn from this book can be put to immediate use.
