I loved this book! I fell in love with Nigel and Max which says a lot considering that Max is a bike! The author sucks you into this story of a lone mans journey on a bike in Belgium and pretty soon I felt I was riding right along with Nigel. I could picture the landscape and imagine what it must have been like to have fought in that war. This book is also a culinary delight, with a rich description of tempting feasts. I started the book with a different ending in mind, and was surprised when I got there! Very good read - I'm hoping there will be more!
