Commonly referred to as THE BOBBY BENSON SHOW, radio's THE H-BAR-O-RANGERS was a hit show in the early 1930's, starring Billy Halop (to become one of "The Dead End Kids" in a few years) as Bobby. There were over 700 episodes before it went off the air in 1936. Two stories were written by Peter Dixon (both in this Pulpville Double) as well as a Big Little Book. This first version of the radio show was sponsored by the Hecker-H-O Company. The later incarnation of the radio show and the two television shows were unrelated to the Hecker-H-O produced show.
