Bruno Schulz, the Polish author born in 1892, wrote fantastical tales about his life, town and family. This book takes those stories as its starting point. As a passage progresses, the tales’ contents overwhelms the page, so birds burst forth from letters, words melt slowly down, typographies collide and move on—Bruno’s life becomes twinned in the tales he wove.
