"Sparkling and superb" Peter strikes again! This is a purely magical look at a purely magical band. Thorough is an understatement, as is magnificent. This is a must must MUST book to have for anyone interested in Siouxsie and Budgie. A true work of art!

"songs: from the edge of the world of the creatures" What can I say? I’ve been collecting Siouxsie’s Music for a long time and when I've found Peter Routley's work, through his the banshees and other creatures Web site, a few years ago, it sure fulfil my collecting needs! With his help I did finally get to know the last Siouxsie and the Banshees song I still hadn't found at the time. Now, this Songs: From The Edge Of The World series is a comprehensive index to Siouxsie's universe, whether with the Banshees or in the Creatures. There's always something new to find in these books. Even for die-hard fans like me… I wouldn’t (and couldn’t) pick better pictures to include in this book on the creatures. The book cover design also suits the work wonderfully. I suppose the previous book, on Siouxsie and the Banshees, was a lot easier to compile than this one on the creatures, but even so it turns out to be a splendid and dedicated work, that it will be a delight to every creature... More > out there that wants to find out all there is to know and more from this great and unique band. Thank you Peter Routley! Fernando< Less
"A Siouxperb sequel!" Yes!!! Peter Routley has triumphed again! In 2007 his first 'Songs: From The Edge Of The World', an in-depth look at the creative output of Siouxsie And The Banshees, became an instant classic; an indispensable, hugely enjoyable reference work loved and lauded by Banshees fans the world over. Now he has followed this up with a second volume, this one detailing the ups and downs of Siouxsie and Budgie's exotic Banshee offshoot, The Creatures. As with its illustrious predecessor, this superb book is clearly another labour of love. Lavishly illustrated in full colour and brimming with fascinating facts (I've been a Siouxsie fanatic for the last 28 years and yet there's plenty of stuff here that I didn't know about!) this new 'Songs: From...' is every bit as entertaining and unputdownable as the first. Everything you could ever wish to know about the world's most shamefully under-appreciated band is presented here in an eminently readable page-turner. Oh,... More > and it looks fabulous too - the drop dead gorgeous cover artwork by Brian Shanks is simply to die for! I can give no higher praise to Peter Routley than to say that his second volume of 'Songs: From The Edge Of The World' is in every respect a more than worthy successor to what has become for me a veritable "bible".< Less
