Adaptive Humanism operates as a canvas or a medium for life. It refers to a strategy of investigation that creates open frameworks to support multiplicities of both foreseeable and unforeseeable scenarios. The investigation seeks a physical structure that supports these organizational systems in response to various scenarios. In creating a physical structure upon which an abstract operation diagram may be activated, materials and time intervals become calibrated to scale. They respond to the performative differences in material. Consideration to material assembly methods, evolved through cultural building practice, inherently locks the abstract qualities of the system into a context of the culture that produced it over many years, and reveals a specific self-emergent, collective intelligence between the material and the culture.
