I have always been rather scathing of the pink stuff in a glass - despite having a passion for anything else pink that a 4 year old would be proud of. I thought it was a bit tame for someone who prefers big hearty (woof woof) reds packed with flavour. Of course, I was being prejudiced. I was being wineist. Having read Phil's book I am now aware of the great breadth and variety of the pink stuff that's out there. Phil explains the process and shares some great examples and lovely anecdotes. It's a book that's both a great read and a useful resource to dip in and out of. It has plenty of info for those who are already converted and plenty to help those of us who were on the fence move forward and really appreciate this fine expression of the wine makers art. Bravo Phil!
