Absolutely amazing! I am not a pilot, honestly I don't even like to fly very much...But a pilot buddy of mine said I should check this out and promised I would think it was hilarious! So, although hesitant, I went deep on the book and am really glad I did. This pilot's stories (follies) about his trips crack me up EVERY time. Sure it is interesting to understand a bit more about what a pilot deals with, but the humor and sarcasm dealing with the job, family and society is priceless. For a book that I initially thought I would have absolutely NO interest in, I could not put it down. Very enjoyable and stupidly funny! Thanks Pilot X!

I laughed so hard I think I broke something! This literary work is not just your run of the mill work life/biopic. Pilot X tells it like it really is, the ups and downs of modern air travel: taking grandma to a family reunion, the rug rats to the mouse house, or your average mid level manager/come pain in the butt executive to a golf outing. This is how it happens. Want to know how that cow became a hamburger, no? Well this is an unabashed look at commercial air travel today from the other side of the cockpit door, which incidentally you are standing too close to.

Some of the funnies stuff I've ever read. Caught a few of these stories on a website, and I'm glad they've all finally been rolled together into one massive compilation. As an airline pilot myself, I can definitely relate to many of these situations. However, Pilot X is able to look at an otherwise not-funny situation and find some degree of humor in it. I have shared some of these stories with others, and have found that everyone has enjoyed reading them. Pilots, frequent-flyers, and Amtrak patrons alike can all take something from this one. I have yet to test it out on anyone easily offended, but I for one am thrilled that someone finally took a stance against, to borrow a line from the book, "rampant PC-ism"! Keep up the good work, Pilot X. I'll be waiting for the sequel in between re-re-readings of this one.
