My Paperback Book for DMA Project

Transcriptions of Bach’s Cello Suites have long been a standard part of the viola repertoire. Not only are these cello suites used as pedagogical material for the purpose of building and strengthening technical ability, but they are also revered as outstanding solo concert pieces. The intent of this document is to aid violists by providing a preliminary study associated with the performance of the suites. Information regarding the historical background and editions available of the suites will be discussed in the following chapters.
