"Tails of the City" I read this book in its entirely, chapter by chapter as put online, in its original appearance. At first, I believed I wouldn't really be interested. Furry stuff. Yuck. But I soon found that the writing was excellent and it drew me in, making a fan of me. Whether "real" people or furry people, this book is about how creatures interact, how they puzzle, infuriate, charm, and love one another. It could be any neighborhood where neighbors interact. The writing style and the vocabulary are generally higher than one often finds in modern writing. The characters are full-bodied people (furry people, but still) and the writer has the ability to make them feel like people we know, people we care to know, those about whom we care. This is a book I've wished I had copied and saved, chapter by chapter, and now that it's available all in one place, I'm buying a paper copy, to read over and over and over, even if my computer crashes! I've bought one for... More > each of my 8 closest friends, too. Afterall, it's Christmas!< Less

"Re: Tails of the City" Thank you for your kind words. I borrowed one of your phrases for the description, and my own expository review.
