A great contribution to the hot topic of storytelling. With clarity and humor, the author points out why you should incorporate storytelling in your marketing tools, and how to do this. The questions "How do you spread your story" and "What should I tell" are discussed in depth. A must-read for business leaders who want to be successful in this hyper-connected world.

A great read... an insightful manner that transcends the obvious and brings clarity to that which one wants to say but is unable to communicate effectively. Wherein lies our story, and as interesting and fascinating it may be to us and our friends, it is meaningless to others if not transmitted properly. This is a great guide... a sort of 'Tipping Point' equivalent to story telling... and lets remember before our societies could read and write it was the power of the story teller that told the tales.. and this in turn redefined boys into men, men in heroes and heroes into the destroyers of the ancient Gods... enjoy... i did!

READ 5 FANTASTIC REVIEWS OF THE BOOK by these well-know authors: -Annette Simmons (Author of 'The Story Factor') -Gregg Morris (Curator of Story and Narrative) -Mitch Joel (Author of Six Pixels of Separation) -Sharlene Sones (Founder of BrandStoria) -Katharina Hansen (author and owner of A Storied Career) (These reviews can also be found in the book itself - under "words of praise".) “It is a FANTASTIC and WONDERFUL book. And as much as I expected, and I knew I would love it, I underestimated how good this book would be. This makes successful application of storytelling now only a matter of reading No Story. No Fans., and following Raf's guidance. It’s clear Raf has gleaned from his own expertise as well as other experts’ decades of awkward trials and errors learning the secrets of storytelling. I myself, struggled for fifteen years and you get all the answers in one book, I’m glad for you. Lucky buggers! (Annette Simmons) “I am a fortunate man in that I count Raf as one of... More > my storytelling friends. Raf has an enthusiasm for stories and their telling that is matched by a very few. In this book he graciously shares his own enlightening journey through the land of story and the connections they can create, and even better, shows you how you can discover and share your best stories too. He knows how stories can help your efforts and how they can hurt and he shows you how to enhance the former and avoid the latter. If you're struggling to make sense of this new world of social business Raf's book will help to understand it and give you a solid grounding in how to use stories to engage your customers and change their lives as well as your own.” (Gregg Morris) "Stories captivate people's attention. It happens when it comes to The Bible and it happens when it comes to Star Wars. It's somewhat surprising how few people and businesses spend the appropriate amount of time figuring out their story and how to captivate their audiences' attention. No Story. No Fans. is a great primer for you start thinking about everything in the context of a story." (Mitch Joel, Author of Six Pixels of Separation) “Raf Stevens No Story. No Fans. dives deeper into the role of storytelling in business. He acts as editor and idea-maker: providing us with some real, tangible ways that you can utilize storytelling for impact. Bringing together ideas and examples from leading practitioners, Raf has helped present new paradigms for creating meaning, value and, ultimately, stronger connection with people. It’s an important read for anyone desiring to lead a business toward success in today’s environment where it’s not enough to simply “sell” to potential customers, but to forge relationships with them as “fans.” (Sharlene Sones, Founder of BrandStoria) “Raf Stevens has created a remarkable compendium on the value of storytelling as "the New Trade." In an attractive, accessible, reader-friendly volume with many extras (QR codes!), he frames the book as "start of a conversation" rather than a how-to; yet he offers tons of how-to suggestions. Raf also includes the thought leadership of the most brilliant luminaries in the storytelling world. The chapter on ROI of storytelling is a treasure unto itself. Excellent job!” (Katharine Hansen, author and owner of A Storied Career)< Less
