This is a book is full of iPad paintings that take you on a visual journey. I used to commute between New Haven and New York to attend classes at The School of Visual Arts. Each location was carefully picked and composed as a reference shot using an iPhone. From there they were transformed freehand into iPad paintings using Sketchbook Pro, ArtRage, Brushes and Procreate.
Featured in the book are places places like Pepe's Pizza, Battell Chapel (New Haven) and Grand Central Terminal and The Chrysler Building. (New York City) Through The Elm to The Big Apple also includes essays from artist, Jorge Colombo and New Haven's own coworking space, The Grove.
"My first impression is, beautiful sparse colors."-Jorge Colombo
