The story of one man's lifelong struggle to shed the chains of religious bondage and to live in the freedom of God's grace and to behold His Glory.
Randy Meulman is a tall and muscular man's man. He excelled in football in high school and college, served in the United States marines in Vietnam, and was a police officer in a large city in America. He thought he could face and overcome anything. He became a leader in a large international Christian organization and found himself caught in the snares of religious legalism, like the religiosity of his Christian home when growing up. In his struggles to serve God, he became more ensnared.
Amidst his struggles, he encountered an enemy of a spiritual nature, though one man. The events of that encounter defy belief by many people. Yet they were true and are accurately portrayed. The end result was that Randy found that God simply loved him and wanted him to be free. Randy was engulfed in the glory of God and found the freedom that only... More > Christ can give.< Less

"The Quest for Glory" Meulman is open and honest in his account: strengths and weaknesses, pain and happiness. Without overt rancor he describes how Christian legalism (religiosity) crippled his relationship to God. All through his life, it seems, God never abandoned him. After many gripping episodes in his life, he discovered God's grace. He found the freedom that Jesus secured for him. He tasted the glory of God. He lives in the new life that has been promised to all who trust God through Jesus. Meulman's account is particularly appealing because of how open and vulnerable he is in expressing these aspects of his life's journey. Anyone (especially someone caught up in legalism or religiosity) will benefit from reading this short but compelling true story.
"The Quest for Glory by Randy Muelman" This book provides great insight into finding a true and loving relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Randy Muelman describes in gut wrenching detail his struggles in life including divorce, potential suicide, walking away from God and numerous other events in his life. I would highly recommend this book as a read. I would rank this 7 for 7 on the rating scale.
"The Quest for Glory" A dry season. probably caused by my cynicism and anger over what I perceived to be negligence in my son's close brush with death, brought me to begging God for forgiveness and a cleansing of my heart. This, just this afternoon. My youngest son emailed me about Lulu publishing after my wailing out to God. I went to Lulu, saw the Quest for Glory and downloaded it. I believe the dry season is over as a result of my reading this book and as I look at my mistakes, sin for sure, with hope God will help me forgive away the blame and my being so judgmental.
