In erotic stories, consensual submissives and slaves are usually beautiful, perfect-bodied people who can endure any physical hardship while balancing a tray of drinks in one hand. But what about real life, where many of us in dominant/submissive or master/slave relationships cope with imperfect bodies and real-life challenges? Kneeling In Spirit explores the brave stories of disabled people in service and surrender, and the inventive masters and mistresses who love them.

I loved reading this book. It was great to read about the people behind the disabilities and the loving D/s relationships they have. By the time you finish this book, you realize that no disability needs to prevent you from having a D/s relationship; there are endless ways to work around a disability, or even work the disability into the relationship. And as one of the contributors writes, we will all reach some level of decrepit in our lives. Even if we never have something officially labeled a "disability," we will all need to come up with ways to work with our aging bodies and this book makes that seem so very possible.
