Ray has a captivating way of sharing his trailblaizing mission into the Dark Continent. His transparency into his human nature is refreshing and uplifting as he shares the wisdom God has taught him through his trials. I hoping there is more to come. Kim Robarge

I had a lot to do and almost didn't read it. A friend loaned the book to me shortly after I returned from a short stay in Nicaragua. He asked if I read it yet. I had to say that I was busy and wasn't there yet. I promised to return it at our next meeting. I decided to read a few pages to see if I really wanted to give it back. It kept me busy for several days until I finished. God lead my friend to lend it to me and me to read it. Ray is so human and honest about how he felt. None of us are perfect and he surrendered his short comings with great flare. I am a story teller as well and have already shared several of his experiences with study groups. I am genuinely impressed and inspired. Great job, Ray.

Ray (my daddy) has an awesome way of story-telling. From as early as I can remember, he's told them in such a way that keeps everyone sitting there with their mouths open, sitting on the edge of their seat, waiting in anticipation for more. As editor of this book, all the experiences came flooding back into my mind. The ones we experienced together, and the ones he told when he returned. I encourage everyone to read this book. You will NOT want to put it down. He keeps you stuck, wanting more. Write another one, daddy.

Ray Anderson has a unique way to take one on an adventurous journey. Ray paints a vivid picture with his written words. I did not want to put the book down once I started and became frustrated when interrupted. Not only did I enjoy the book, but also gained much insight to my personal life challenges through the authors description of things he went through. The book gives me a new respected understanding of the life of a missionary. I highly recommend this book to not only anyone interested in missions, but to anyone seeking insight as to why things are happening within their own lives, and how to conquer the battles within.
