If you were raised in Tarrant and cherish memories of growing up in this vibrant, growing town, you will love this book. I remember shopping with my mother on Saturdays when the sidewalks were crowded with friends and neighbors and just about anything you needed could be found. This book brings back so many precious memories and Ray Songer has done a masterful job of presenting our small town as it was--the bad and the beautiful. He covered the history from before the town was established in such an interesting, informative way that I found it hard to put the book down. I have purchased one for my grandson and plan to get more for Christmas gifts. Thank you Ray Songer for this labor of love. Thanks also to the contributors for sharing your memories and doing the research.
