Pathrina was running for her life. She was not quite sure what it was she was running from,but she knew she had to get out of there. The air seemed thick on her tongue as she ran. It seemed the fog was as thick as mud, obscuring her vision. Then a scream seemed to shatter the air.
She fell to her knees, she felt an acid rise in the back of her throat. She knew the scream came from her mother. Whatever or whoever it was had gotten the one person she
treasured most. She knew now that her feet could take her no further. She sat slumped up against a fallen tree.
The tears now came and she could not stop them. Then she saw it, out of the corner of her eye something moved in on her in the trees. She did not recognize this thing, this creature. She looked at it as it lifted something as if to strike. Then a white light blocked everything out. Everything went black...
