"Nine Bean Rows" Reese Danley-Kilgo, in her novel debut "Nine Bean Rows," tells the complicated, touching and thought-proving story of Elizabeth Putnam--artist, teacher, bookstore proprietor, and gardener--who falls in love three times in her life, but never finds solace in a mate. In the end we hardly feel sorry for Elizabeth, though. We have seen her love all too well; we have seen her deeply loved in return; and we have come to understand that the truest ardor puts the other first, even when that means losing the other. If you want your characters hopping in and out of bed, look elsewhere. But if you seek a story of mature romance, of loving sacrifice, of gentility and compassion, you can find it here, in Ms. Danley-Kilgo's beautiful garden of a novel.

"Nine Bean Rows" A poignant and extremely well written love story.

"Nine Bean Rows by Reese Danley-Kilgo" This gentle story is for anyone who has found and lost a love, for those who have ever loved deeply, and for those who have yet to learn what real love is. It is refreshingly devoid of obscenity, grossness and violence, yet it will tug painfully on your heart and pull you into the story as if you yourself are living it.
