another great job by Regina Doman. I really enjoyed the "thinking out aloud" of the friars and the discerment of vocation by the young people. Great to read a book which is more than a good story but one that fills the soul too. Highly recommended to young adults.

I loved this novel, which moved very quickly at times. I found myself not being able to put the book down ,wanting to see which direction the characters would take. A lot of research has gone into the novel e.g. international travel, life in Rome and Karate type moves.I really felt a part of this story - a good mixture of humour with the friars ,to inner personal conflict ,to family bonds.A good read which left me wanting to read more from this author.... well done Regina

The second of Regina Doman's fairy tale novels, Black as Night retells Snow White through the often humorous, always fascinating, and frequently heart-pounding adventure of Blanche Brier in New York City. Her life is in danger, but will her friends learn who is pursing her before it's too late? Ms. Doman is a gifted storyteller whose books are appreciated by adults and teens alike. I have enjoyed reading the fairy tale novels, and I am grateful as a parent to have these books for my teenagers to read.

A wonderful sequel to "The Shadow of the Bear", this book takes everything from the first book and builds on it. There are so many beautiful things in this book - trust, hope, faith and love - true love - plus a mystery and dramatic action towards the end! Definitely one of the classics.

"A Book Everyone Should Read" Awesome! I loved the friars right away! It was really neat for me, rereading this a couple years after I first read it, as I've actually met some of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal since then. There were some parts of this book that made me laugh out loud, while others sent shivers up my spine. Of Regina Doman's books, I can't tell which is my favorite. They are all so spectacular! I highly recommend this book. Every teen or adult should read it.
