The Aramaic English Interlinear Peshitta Holy Bible

ByRev. David Bauscher

This is a literal word for word interlinear English translation of the 1900+ year old Aramaic Bible called the Peshitta. This volume contains the entire OT- the 39 books of the Hebrew Bible and the Protestant Old Testament canon as well as the entire 27 book Aramaic New Testament. Aramaic was the native language of Jesus and of Israel in the 1st century AD. The text translated is an edition of the 6th-7th century Codex Ambrosianus- the oldest complete Semitic Old Testament manuscript and the 1905 Syriac Peshitta New Testament pub. by the British & Foreign Bible Society. The Peshitta Old Testament was very likely translated from the Hebrew Bible in the 1st century AD in Israel by Christian converts from Judaism, or possibly Syrian Christians from across Israel's border. Either way, the Peshitta Old and New Testaments together constitute the first Christian Bible. The author has translated and published plain English translations of the NT, the Torah, the Psalms & Proverbs. PDF EBook 8x11" 2765 pages in color.
