The Original Holy Peshitta Bible Translated (the Book of Job)

eBook (PDF), 25 Pages
Price: $2.99
This is a translation of the two thousand year old Aramaic Peshitta Bible book of Job as preserved in the world's oldest complete Semitic Bible called the Codex Ambrosianus of the 6th century AD. Aramaic was the common language of Israel and the Middle East from the 6th century BC until at least 400 AD. The Peshitta Old Testament was translated in the 1st century from Hebrew manuscripts which very likely were at least a century old when they were translated, probably considerably older. In other dialogue passages, the readings become much more interesting! Job is generally thought to be one of the most difficult to unravel linguistically, textually and theologically. I believe the Peshitta helps considerably in this regard. The Codex Ambrosianus is several centuries older... More > than the oldest Hebrew Bible< Less
