The Reverend Patrick Bronte an Irish Anglican curate and writer spent most of his adult life in England In 1810 he published his first poem Winter Evening Thoughts in a local newspaper, followed in 1811 by a collection of moral verse, Cottage Poems. These poems show that he was a man of no mean talents himself. It can easily be seen who inspired the Bronte sisters.
